Nasal Congestion Operation

Nasal obstruction can be caused by bone gravity and nose. In this case, nasal congestion surgery is performed.

First of all, the cause of nasal congestion is revealed with tests. If there is bone curvature, the problem is solved by breaking the bones fixing them to a proper form, and if the problem is in the cartilage structure, the cartilage structure that causes problems with is re-shaped with valve surgery and if there is a mass in the nose, the problem is solved by removing the mass. The method of surgery is entirely related to the source of the problem.

Anesthesia type: Nasal surgeries are usually performed by applying general anesthesia. The recovery process depends on the nature of the operation. With pre-tests, your doctor will inform you in detail about the type of surgery to be made and what to do before and after surgery.

After nasal congestion surgery: Attention should be paid to sudden temperature changes after the surgery. Sudden heat changes can damage the tissues of the nose. If the patient smokes, it should be discontinued until the full recovery. As with all surgical operations, smoking reduces the healing process. Because of the irritation of the intranasal tissue, it is more important that the patient does not smoke after the nasal surgery. Nasal dryness should be prevented after the surgery. The nose should be cleaned without blowing but by moisturizing solutions or sprays.

Are there have any risks of nasal congestion surgery? Nasal congestion operations are not a risky surgical operation. All healthy individuals over 17 years of age may be operated if they are approved by their doctors before the surgery. Risks in all operations performed under anesthesia are also present in nasal congestion surgeries. These risks are minimized by pre-operation blood tests.
